Solar Azimuth
(or Solar Compass Direction)
Solar Azimuth is the angular position of the sun measured around the Horizon with North being 0 degrees, East 90 degrees, South 180 degrees and West 270 degrees.
Coordinate System
Solar Azimuth is a measure in a horizontal coordinate system. The horizontal coordinate system takes the observation point as the origin and fixes the sun's position by giving a compass direction (Azimuth) and elevation above the horizon (Altitude.)
